Happiness (4): Why Some People Are Not Happy

Several theories about happiness have been proffered from time to time to explain why some people, no matter what, will always find it difficult to be happy. One of these theories attests that human happiness, on a daily basis, results from the actions we take and the things we regularly expose our minds to, consciously or unconsciously.
Please consider these four (4) happiness-destroying mindsets:-
(a)   Overt negativism:- People who are absolutely negative, who find no good thing in life, people or things around them, will always spend their entire existence on earth in perpetual sadness/unhappiness
(b)     Succumbing to Peer Pressure:- If you are the type of person who constantly succumbs to unnecessary or avoidable peer pressure simply because you want to satisfy your friends or companions, happiness will be an elusive experience for you
(c)    Absorbing bad advice:- Listening and acting on bad pieces of advice may rob you of continual happiness. Take for instance, when people encourage you to act against the laws and rules of the society you live in, you are surely going to lose your opportunity to live an enviable happy life

(d)   Lack of self-control:-A person who lacks the power to control what he or she hears, listens to, does or accepts may find himself or herself at the lowest rung of happiness, always at the beck and call of people who will use him or her against his/her own wish
