A New Beginning: And Are You Ready?

We all understand that every New Year offers us the unique opportunity to begin anew. It will be improper to import the failures, worries, shortcomings, fears, disappointments of the past year into this brand new one. Every New Year gives us a blank check (cheque) on which we can predict our fortunes and successes; it provides us with a huge canvas on which we can draw how our futures will look like.
But this is what we shouldn’t be doing in a New Year:
(i)                 Fixing our minds on past sources of discomfort.
(ii)               Living in unnecessary fear and trepidation
(iii)             Keeping company with negative and selfish people
