We all understand that
every New Year offers us the unique opportunity to begin anew. It will be
improper to import the failures, worries, shortcomings, fears, disappointments of the past year into
this brand new one. Every New Year gives us a blank check (cheque) on which we can predict our
fortunes and successes; it provides us with a huge canvas on which we can draw
how our futures will look like.
But this is what we shouldn’t be doing in a
New Year:

Fixing our minds on past sources of
discomfort.
(ii)
Living in unnecessary fear and
trepidation
(iii)
Keeping company with negative and
selfish people
