Success (2): What Is Your Success Concept?

Check out these two educating definitions of success by two great achievers.
“Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm,” Winston Churchill.
“Formula for success: rise early, work hard, strike oil,” J.Paul Getty.
What is your own success formula?

Happiness (2): Two Powerful Quotes on Happiness

Here are two powerful quotes on happiness for your reading pleasure:
Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your actions,” Dalai Lama.
“Happiness doesn’t depend on any external conditions, it is governed by our mental attitude,” Dale Carnegie.

Time Management (2): Doing The Right Thing At The Right Time

Every successful time manager understands the significance of selective action. Selective action can be defined as the process of doing the right task at the most appropriate timeframe. This isn’t an entirely new idea for most people, but the main problem about this methodology lies in identifying what task should be selected over the other at a particular point in time. If you constantly find yourself in this rut, here are some of the proactive approaches you can take in order to overcome this problem:
Prioritizing:- Human beings naturally prioritize their activities, mentally, putting the more important tasks ahead of the less important ones. But our judgments are not always unquestionable. This is because we sometimes allow emotions and short-sightedness to dictate our course of actions. As a result of this, our purpose of action may be shrouded in absolute confusion. Hence, this will make our priority list appear weak, misguided and time-wasting. To achieve a clear focus, we need to map out our plans or activities in a concrete progression so that tasks that are urgent and more important receive prior attention. Constantly making a priority list will help you achieve this purpose.
When Is The Right Time For Actions? Human beings are never short of things to do. But the major headache is finding the right time to execute this series of activities. There’s probably no magic formula for determining the appropriate time for executing any action. But it is possible to decode from your priority list which activity can be undertaken first at a particular period of time. You can now see the significance of making a priority list. Though many people can claim that they can achieve that purpose with their sharp or smart brain; however, it is safe to say that writing your proposed actions in black and white doesn’t only help you to check them every now and then, it can also allow you to easily make certain corrections on the list. Unlike storing things only in your brain where there could be an issue of memory loss, the entries you’ve made on a priority list will remain there until you delete them.
Taking the two facts above into consideration, you should be able to identify some priorities in your life at a certain period, pursue them with all your available resources and make sure that you excel in all you do. The essence of this information is to encourage you to shy away from matters that are not priorities and maximize your scarce resources by concentrating only on appropriate and relevant issues at a given time!

Organizational Performance (2): Personal Motivation

To enjoy a wonderful working experience, you’ve got to seriously motivate yourself.
Check out "Working in Hell?: How To Survive In A Very Uncomfortable Working Environment"
The statement that NO ONE can help you solve all your professional problems but YOU is also relevant in this circumstance.
Here are some of the techniques you can adopt to increase your motivation:
Looking at the goals
The best way to motivate yourself is to have a flashback to the day you first came into your current workplace and re-consider those lofty goals you had brought with you then.
Change yourself
Changing yourself or your lifestyle may bring a surprising, positive transformation for you at your workplace. For examples, if you have been known to be arrogant, not teachable and lack moral values, you can make a list of things you believe people did not like about you. Think seriously about them and slowly work toward transforming yourself by picking up some good habits. A NOTE OF WARNING: this piece of advice does not require that you should sacrifice your life or freedom to satisfy other people. Never do such a thing!
      Relax
The best method to calm a very troubled mind is to let it relax. No matter the kinds of tribulations or discomforts you were passing through in your workplace, if you can just allow your mind to relax for some time, you can re-energize your spirit in order to achieve both your professional and material goals.
     Boosting your self-esteem
No one is going to help you boost your self-esteem: you’ve got to look at your reflection in the mirror everyday and promise yourself that you are going to be that great professional, in spite of the current conditions at your workplace (whether peaceful or very uncomfortable).

Personal Transformation (2): Bringing the Best Out of Yourself!

To succeed in anything you do, you need to bring the best out of yourself. This entails giving all your projects or undertakings all the best efforts you can ever muster. Simple as it may, but many people still don’t know how to utilize their excellent skills in solving some of their problems.
Here are some of the approaches you can employ:
(i)                 First, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, your energy, your skill, your internal strength etc. If you fail to believe in yourself, who else will do?
(ii)               Approach every issue with the mindset of a “warrior” who believes he or she is armed with all the skills, energy and resolves to tackle, carefully, every problem in their lives.
(iii)             Employ calculated tactics: for example, you may want to ask yourself these questions: Will simple communication skill help me solve this problem? Will changing jobs or friends or places of residence help me resolve this issue?
(iv)             Do not take things personally: when you bring emotions into everything you do, you are likely going to find it difficult to stay calm, thoughtful and resourceful.
